on the Administrative Structure of Khum or Sangkat
Royal
Government of Cambodia

Seen the Constitution of
the Kingdom of Cambodia;
·
Seen the Royal Decree of
His Majesty the Kingdom of Cambodia, Samdech Preach NORODOM
SIHANOUK VARMAN, dated November1, 1993 on the Formation of
the Royal Government; and
·
Pursuant to the
proposal of the Ministry of Interior
IT
IS HEREBY DECIDED
Article 1:
To
organize the administrative structure of Khum
as follows:
1.
Chief of Khum
2.
First Assistant to the Chief of Khum
3.
Second assistant to the Chief of Khum
4.
Third assistant to the Chief of Khum
5.
One administrative assistant
Article 2:
To
organize the administrative structure of Sangkat
as follows:
1.
Chief of Sangkat
2.
First Deputy-Chief of Sangkat
3.
Second Deputy-Chief of Sangkat
4.
Two administrative assistants
Article 3:
A Phum
(village) is a part of a khum
or Sangkat and its administrative structure is under the control of the
Chief of Phum (village).
Article 4:
The
administrative responsibilities of a khum
or Sangkat and the
division of tasks between the existing officials of khum
or Sangkat shall be
determined by the Minister of Interior.
Article 5:
Any
provision contrary to this Sub-Decree
shall be annulled.
Article 6:
The
Co-Ministers in charge of the Cabinet of the Council of Ministers,
Minister of Interior, Ministers and Secretaries of State of all
Ministries shall implement this Sub-Decree within their respective
capacity from the date of its signature.
